This consultation has concluded.
The draft Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure on Public Land Policy was resolved to be placed on public exhibition at the Council Meeting on 6 February 2024.
The policy will provide criteria for the provision, installation, management, maintenance, and removal of EV charging infrastructure on public land in the Hills Local Government Area (LGA).
It will provide consistency in approach and execution, ensuring that providers are aware of the Council’s requirements and expectations.
The guidelines outline the principles for planning EV charging infrastructure on public land and support selecting the correct type of infrastructure at the right location.
The policy also helps to promote the adoption of EVs which supports sustainable transportation.
