About Livvi's Place

Livvi’s Place, located in Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, Kellyville, is Council’s premier all abilities playground. This district-level facility caters for a range of ages and abilities. It will soon be extended to accommodate a range of exciting new facilities!

The Livvi’s Place Playground Extension Project is funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program in partnership with The Hills Shire Council. The Program will see $2 billion worth of transformational infrastructure delivered across Western Sydney.

The continued renewal of our network of playgrounds is critical to improving the play experiences of the Hills’ youngest residents. Renewals also ensure Council assets reflect current community expectations and meet future needs.

Project Background

The former NSW Government announced the launch of the landmark ‘WestInvest’ program on 24 February 2022. The program was established to provide funding to organisations to build new and improved facilities and local infrastructure across Western Sydney.

As one of 15 eligible Local Government Areas (LGAs) for funding, Council developed several business cases for consideration. Applications opened on 2 May 2022 at 9am and closed on 25 July 2022 at 5pm.

In early 2023, the NSW Government informed Council that its business case for WICR0802 - Bernie Mullane Sports Complex - Livvi's Playground Extension including amenities, had been successful.

Following the change of government at the 2023 state election, the program was renamed the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Program.

A funding deed was formally executed between the Department of Regional NSW and The Hills Shire Council in March 2024, committing funding for the delivery of the project.

How you can help us:

As part of a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan for the project, Council will collect and analyse data across the project lifecycle. This will help us to understand how effectively the Livvi’s Place Playground Extension project achieves its intended outputs and outcomes.

Council is inviting everyone who visits Livvi’s Place to complete the survey below to help build crucial baseline data for this project. As a thank you for your participation, you may enter the raffle to win one of three $50 Coles Group and Myer gift vouchers!
